Atom chip in Highlights 2006 of Journal of Physics B

Journal of Physics B publishes interesting papers across a wide range of atomic, molecular and optical physics. The Editorial Board has recently selected a number of outstanding papers into the impressive list of Highlights of 2006 “that best represent the quality and breadth of research published in J Phys B”. The paper “A permanent magnetic film atom chip for Bose-Einstein condensation” by B.V. Hall, S. Whitlock, F. Scharnberg, P. Hannaford and A. Sidorov (ACQAO node at Swinburne University of Technology) has been selected in the category PAPERS among six other publications. According to Andrew Wray, IOP Group Publisher, the Swinburne paper was one of the most frequently read papers in 2006 and has now accumulated 566 full-text downloads. This paper and the other selected articles are freely available from the J Phys B website throughout 2007.
